Pennsylvania Licensed Infection Preventionist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Infection Preventionist.

Key Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison with health departments and healthcare facilities, reporting notifiable diseases and investigating communicable conditions
• Independently performs surveillance activities to detect healthcare acquired infections and maintains knowledge of relevant surveillance definitions
• Provides infection prevention control input during construction/renovation activities and oversees Legionella surveillance and remediation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Epidemiology, or related field required
• Two years of Infection Prevention or relevant experience required
• Current CIC certification required
• Registered Nurses must maintain current RN licensure
• Computer skills required; data management/analysis experience preferred
