Pennsylvania Licensed Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder (Medical Coding) to work from home in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding
• Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using coding software
• Assist in training new coding staff and communicate updates regarding coding guidelines

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• Medical Billing and Coding diploma required for Coder Level I
• Minimum one certification required for Coder Level II (e.g., CPC, CRC, RHIT)
• Relevant experience may include a combination of work experience and/or completed specialty training programs
