Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder (medical coding) to work from home in the Eastern Standard Time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding
• Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using appropriate coding guidelines
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding

Required Qualifications and Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• Medical Billing and Coding diploma for Coder Level I
• One certification required for Coder Level II or III (e.g., CPC, CRC, RHIT)
• Relevant experience may include a combination of work experience and completed specialty training program
