Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder (IP DRG Coding).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding
• Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using appropriate coding guidelines
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
• Completion of a billing/coding diploma or specialty training required
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (AAPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (AAPC), or Registered Health Information Technician (AHIMA) required at time of hire for higher levels
