Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Medical Coder to work remotely, who will review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures, translate them into coded form, and ensure compliance with coding regulations for accurate claim submissions.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records to identify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures
• Translate diagnostic and procedural phrases into coded form using Encoder software
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; graduate from a specialty training program preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience required
• Relevant coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC required upon hire
• Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
• Experience with coding software and tools
