Job Summary
To support a growing specialty oncology pharmacy, the full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Pharmacy Technician will investigate and verify patient insurance benefits, coordinate coverage for medications, and assist patients in accessing copay assistance programs, with the opportunity to work remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform full benefits verification and ensure accurate patient setup in the CPR+ system
- Provide timely responses to inquiries from pharmacy operations, healthcare providers, and patients regarding benefit information
- Run test claims to obtain valid insurance responses and document outcomes for optimal reimbursement
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; prior experience in pharmacy, medical billing, or benefits verification
- Pharmacy Technician License/Registration with the Board of Pharmacy as required by state law
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy or benefit verification experience
- Knowledge of pharmacy insurance and benefit verification processes, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills and familiarity with pharmacy terminology
