Pennsylvania Licensed Program Underwriter

Job Summary

To support the evaluation and management of a diverse property and casualty book of business, the full-time Program Underwriter will oversee underwriting activities, maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers, and contribute to regional growth strategies in a hybrid work environment based in West Chester, PA.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting activities for new and renewal business, including risk evaluation and pricing analysis
• Manage ongoing relationships with agents, brokers, and carriers while resolving complex inquiries related to policies
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and support team development through knowledge sharing and training

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance or a related field
• Four to five years of all lines property and casualty underwriting experience with carrier authority
• Active Pennsylvania Property and Casualty license or ability to obtain licensure within twelve months of hire
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work confidently with various stakeholders
• Highly organized and comfortable managing a full underwriting desk using automated systems and Microsoft Office tools
