Job Summary
To support the evaluation and management of a diverse property and casualty book of business, the full-time Program Underwriter will oversee underwriting activities, maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers, and contribute to regional growth strategies in a hybrid work environment based in West Chester, PA.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee underwriting activities for new and renewal business, including risk evaluation and pricing analysis
- Manage ongoing relationships with agents, brokers, and carriers while resolving complex inquiries related to policies
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and support team development through knowledge sharing and training
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in insurance or a related field
- Four to five years of all lines property and casualty underwriting experience with carrier authority
- Active Pennsylvania Property and Casualty license or ability to obtain licensure within twelve months of hire
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work confidently with various stakeholders
- Highly organized and comfortable managing a full underwriting desk using automated systems and Microsoft Office tools
