Job Summary
Managing a workers' compensation caseload from inception to resolution, the full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Staff Counsel will independently represent the Employer/Carrier in court, conduct legal research, and prepare necessary legal documents while working remotely across Pennsylvania.
Key responsibilities
- Independently represents the Employer/Carrier before the assigned Judge in administrative hearings on litigated workers' compensation claims
- Analyzes complex legal issues and develops defense strategies, preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Communicates effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel regarding case-related activities and legal advice
Required qualifications
- Pennsylvania State Bar licensed attorney in good standing
- Knowledge of PA Workers' Compensation statutes, case law, and local court procedures
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- 5+ years of workers' compensation litigation experience
