Seeking a part-time Pennsylvania Licensed Wetland Scientist, the candidate will perform fieldwork for jurisdictional wetland surveys and waters primarily in the Mid-Atlantic area, with responsibilities including wetland delineation and reporting, while supporting operations remotely or in a hybrid setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct fieldwork for jurisdictional wetland surveys and waters of the US
- Prepare wetland reports summarizing findings related to soil types, vegetation, and hydrological characteristics
- Perform GPS location surveys of wetland delineation flagging and assist with joint permit applications
Required qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of wetland delineation experience
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Botany, Geology, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of wetlands and aquatic resources
- Technical writing skills and organizational abilities
- Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist or Delineator preferred but not required
