Job Summary

To foster a high-performing MEP design team, the fully remote People Manager, MEP Design will manage day-to-day operations, develop team members, and ensure effective communication and workflow across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide direct management and development for a cross-discipline MEP design team, focusing on early-career talent growth
  • Lead performance management cycles, offering actionable feedback and addressing performance concerns constructively
  • Establish team workflows and communication norms to ensure timely delivery and quality in a remote environment
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Systems, or a related technical field, or an Associate's degree with relevant MEP industry experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in MEP design or engineering, including 2-3 years in a formal people management role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop early-career employees effectively
  • Experience in a fully remote management environment, maintaining team cohesion without in-person presence
  • Substantive background in MEP design to evaluate work quality and provide credible guidance
