Job Summary
To support a scaling people function, the full-time remote People Operations Lead will manage compensation, benefits, payroll, compliance, and the employee lifecycle while ensuring operational excellence and data integrity across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Executes payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of issues with vendors
- Manages people data systems, maintaining accurate records and producing timely reporting for leadership
- Oversees onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent employee experience and compliance with policies
Required qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of HR or people operations experience in organizations with 50 or more employees
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- Strong proficiency in at least one HRIS platform and familiarity with payroll processing and benefits administration tools
- Solid working knowledge of federal employment law and compliance, particularly in Virginia and multi-state contexts
- High discretion in handling confidential information
