Job Summary
To support a rapidly growing national law firm, the remote People Operations Specialist will manage employee leaves of absence, handle employee relations inquiries, and ensure compliance with employment laws while contributing to process improvements and HR operations.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary administrator for all employee leaves of absence, managing the end-to-end process and ensuring compliance
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and conducting investigations as needed
- Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions and maintain updated employee handbooks and policies
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in People Operations with ownership of functional responsibilities
- Direct experience administering leaves of absence, including FMLA and ADA
- Experience handling employee relations matters, including investigations and documentation
- Working knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements across multiple states
- Proven ability to build, document, and improve processes and workflows
