Job Summary

Seeking skilled Per Diem Art Directors, the position offers flexible, part-time hours, focusing on designing and art-directing print and digital stories, collaborating with editorial teams, and creating visual content under tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate projects for print and digital stories using the CMS
• Collaborate with editorial staff to create impactful visual narratives
• Develop photo illustrations and oversee design for various sections and special projects

Required qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in a comparable journalistic publication or website
• Strong working knowledge of design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Demonstrated ability to design for daily digital stories with a strong portfolio
• Willingness to work weekend shifts and evening hours as needed
