Performance Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Performance Engineer to optimize the reliability and performance of its platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks across distributed systems, APIs, and databases
• Build and maintain internal tools, frameworks, and dashboards that measure and improve system performance
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to design and implement scalable, efficient solutions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or platform engineering experience, ideally in high-performance systems
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, or Go)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, and database optimization
• Hands-on experience with performance profiling, load testing, and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure providers
