Performance Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a newly formed performance team, the full-time Performance Engineer will identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the Supabase stack, collaborating with various teams to implement measurable improvements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Find and characterize bottlenecks in live production systems for actionable insights
• Collaborate with database and infrastructure teams to implement performance enhancements
• Develop and refine performance methodologies and tooling to analyze production data

Required qualifications

• Deep experience in performance engineering of complex distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of either Linux kernel internals or database internals
• Proficient understanding of networking and cloud infrastructure performance
• Proven ability to translate performance insights into product improvements
• Strong written communication skills for precise and compelling problem characterization
