Performance Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a new performance team, the full-time Performance Engineer will focus on building and evolving benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tools while establishing performance baselines and regression gates across products in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling for cloud, database, and end-to-end applications
• Define benchmark suites and reference workloads that reflect real customer behavior and adapt them as products change
• Establish performance baselines and regression gates, enabling teams to identify bottlenecks and implement performance improvements

Required qualifications

• Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems
• Strong systems intuition related to databases, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience collaborating across product, infrastructure, and database teams
• Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with a focus on reproducibility and variance control
• Strong communication skills to facilitate cross-team collaboration
