Personal Lines Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter - Personal Lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze applications for personal lines coverage to determine policy eligibility
• Communicate underwriting decisions to producers/agents and maintain strong agent relationships
• Manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions while adhering to guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
• Three to five years of underwriting experience in Personal Lines or equivalent education and experience
• General knowledge of insurance statutes, regulations, and policies
• An active 2-20 or 4-40 license or industry designation such as CPCU or CIC is preferred
