Personal Lines Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Call Center- Underwriter PL- I.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze applications, inspections, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements to determine policy eligibility
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and chats from agents and clients regarding policy forms, coverage, and underwriting decisions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents while ensuring timely and accurate processing of underwriting tasks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
• Three (3) to five (5) years of underwriting experience in Personal Lines or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• General knowledge of insurance statutes, regulations, and policies
• Strong knowledge of Property/Casualty insurance underwriting principles and personal lines policy elements
• An active 2-20 or 4-40 license, or industry designation such as CPCU or CIC, is preferred
