Personal Lines Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter PL - I.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze applications, inspections, and endorsements to determine policy eligibility and make risk selections
• Provide guidance to agents and clients on policy forms, coverage options, and underwriting decisions
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of underwriting tasks while maintaining organized workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
• Three to five years of underwriting experience in Personal Lines or equivalent education and experience
• General knowledge of insurance statutes, regulations, and policies
• Active 2-20 or 4-40 license, or industry designation such as CPCU or CIC, is preferred
• Strong knowledge of Property/Casualty insurance underwriting principles and personal lines policy elements
