Job Summary

A company is looking for a Personnel Security Assistant to support background security investigations for the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and manage background investigations for employees and contractors
  • Serve as the primary contact for security offices and assist employees throughout the investigation process
  • Ensure compliance with security processes and recommend improvements for efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in national security, homeland security, information systems/technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security-related role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of personnel security program regulations and procedures
  • Ability to manage confidential government records and utilize relevant software applications
  • Must have an in-scope, favorably adjudicated National Security Investigation at the Tier-3 level or higher
