Job Summary
A company is looking for a Personnel Security Assistant to support background security investigations for the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage background investigations for employees and contractors
- Serve as the primary contact for security offices and assist employees throughout the investigation process
- Ensure compliance with security processes and recommend improvements for efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in national security, homeland security, information systems/technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security-related role
- Comprehensive knowledge of personnel security program regulations and procedures
- Ability to manage confidential government records and utilize relevant software applications
- Must have an in-scope, favorably adjudicated National Security Investigation at the Tier-3 level or higher
