Pet Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a sharp and empathetic claims professional, the full-time CLX Pet Advocate will work remotely to navigate complex veterinary records, determine claim eligibility, and communicate coverage decisions clearly to customers while ensuring thorough documentation and timely resolution of claims.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate complex veterinary records and medical histories to determine claim eligibility and make accurate coverage decisions
• Communicate coverage determinations clearly and directly in plain language that customers understand
• Document claim files thoroughly, ensuring every decision is grounded in medical records and policy provisions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of recent small animal vet tech experience; ER or specialty background strongly preferred
• Prior pet claim handling or pet insurance experience, and existing P&C licensure strongly preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain P&C licensure
• A college degree
• Comfort with and curiosity about new technology, including AI tools that are central to how we work
