Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time STAT PFL Claims Specialist will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and make timely claim determinations while providing exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding Short Term Disability claims
- Collaborate with case managers and consulting physicians to ensure appropriate and timely claim determinations
- Review complex medical records and perform accurate financial calculations in accordance with company and state guidelines
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls
- Experience with disability and/or absence management is a plus
