Pharmacy Benefits Senior Manager

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Pharmacy Benefits Senior Manager, the successful candidate will manage pharmacy trend analysis, oversee PBM relationships and contracts, and lead implementation projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination across teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner of the PBM relationship, managing procurement, contract negotiations, and performance guarantees
• Own pharmacy trend management by analyzing unit costs and utilization, forecasting PMPM, and developing savings initiatives
• Coordinate implementation projects, ensuring timely execution and clear status reporting to all stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 5-8+ years in pharmacy benefits, PBM operations, or benefits consulting with demonstrated ownership of PBM contracting
• Deep understanding of PBM economics, including pricing guarantees, rebates, and specialty drug management
• Proven track record in trend management and strong analytical skills with claims data and financial modeling
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with rigorous program management skills
• Knowledge of ERISA fiduciary obligations and transparency requirements related to pharmacy benefits
