Pharmacy Collection Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Collection Specialist in the Pharmacy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily accomplishments align with company goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days
• Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Negotiate payment plans with patients and interact with third-party collection agencies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and reimbursement
• Working knowledge of automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ preferred
• Familiarity with basic accounting practices and coding systems (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
