Job Summary
Serving as the primary point of contact for members, providers, and pharmacies, the remote Pharmacy Technician will deliver timely support across phone, chat, and email while ensuring accurate resolution of inquiries related to benefits, prior authorizations, and claims, requiring an active National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
Key responsibilities
- Field and resolve inquiries regarding mail order, benefit design, formulary coverage, and medication costs
- Assist network pharmacies with processing prescription claims and ensure accuracy against benefit guidelines
- Document interactions and resolutions within internal systems to support continuity of care and operational reporting
Required qualifications
- Active/Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NHA)
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a health plan, retail pharmacy, or contact center role
- Working knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication, benefit design, and PBM terminology
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Experience with mail order and specialty pharmacy settings is a strong fit
