Job Summary
Acting as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, the full-time remote Customer Care Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) will manage prior authorization requests, provide accurate information to callers, and ensure exceptional customer care in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for incoming member calls and prior authorization inquiries, ensuring proper escalation to the Clinical Prior Authorization Team
- Intake comprehensive prior authorization requests and advise callers on options based on client benefit elections
- Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives and support the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse program by reviewing pharmacy claims information
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Current National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and valid license required
- 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience in a clinical pharmacy setting or related healthcare experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience with a focus on building customer loyalty
- Ability to work independently in a remote, high-volume call center environment
