Pharmacy Technician II

Job Summary

Providing essential support in a full-time hourly role, the Pharmacy Technician II will manage authorization requests, assist providers and pharmacies, and ensure timely resolution of escalations in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process prior authorization requests for medications submitted by providers
• Communicate with providers regarding authorization issues and follow up on failed faxes
• Document all interactions and maintain compliance with state-mandated response times

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Three (3) years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• One (1) year of managed care prior authorization experience preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred
• Ability to acquire state registration in multiple states as required
