Job Summary

Working remotely, the Pharmacy Technician - Prior Authorization will manage inbound calls from healthcare providers and process prior authorization requests while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound calls and provide professional customer service throughout the prior authorization process
  • Maintain accurate documentation of approvals, denials, and review activities for prior authorization requests
  • Process prior authorization requests received via fax and electronic means, and escalate clinical questions to the pharmacist team
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume call center environment, preferably in healthcare or prior authorization
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician performing administrative support functions
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license with no restrictions
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification or state-required certification/licensure
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medical coding
