Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for prior authorizations
• Manage assigned workflow queues and ensure accurate documentation of information

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
• CPhT preferred; pharmacy technician license or trainee license strongly preferred in relevant states
• Minimum two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred
• Ability to work scheduled hours, with varying shifts based on department needs
• Participation in compliance program objectives is expected
