Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Prior Authorization Specialist I, the candidate will manage inbound calls from patients and healthcare professionals, contact prescribers for necessary information, and ensure thorough documentation of prior authorization requests.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals regarding prior authorizations
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary patient information for prior authorization processing
• Manage assigned workflow queues and ensure accurate documentation of information and prescription orders

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred
• CPhT certification preferred
• Pharmacy technician license or pharmacy technician trainee license strongly preferred in applicable states
• Minimum of two years of pharmacy support or healthcare environment experience preferred
• Ability to work scheduled hours, with shifts varying based on department needs
