Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time temporary basis, the Pharmacy Technician - State Licensed will process medication refill requests and obtain prior authorizations while ensuring accurate documentation and customer service within the Pharmacy Support Center.
Key responsibilities
- Process medication refill requests and obtain prior authorizations according to established protocols
- Review patient records and prescription information to ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
- Assist in resolving medication-related cost issues and manage pharmacy department work queues
Required qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of residence
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience with prescription and refill processing
- Familiarity with pharmacy benefits and medication prior authorization processes
