Pharmacy Technician Team Lead

Job Summary

Acting as a subject matter expert on denial research methods, the full-time remote Claims Specialist Team Lead will train and mentor staff while overseeing the accuracy of billing processes and ensuring compliance with third-party billing requirements during night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Trains new employees and provides ongoing support and mentorship to promote a positive work environment
• Reviews variances and write-offs for accuracy, preparing necessary reports and identifying potential financial risks
• Monitors staff performance and conducts monthly quality assessments to ensure compliance with billing standards

Required qualifications

• High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experience; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of insurance billing experience with specialized knowledge in Medicare Part D, Medicaid, or Commercial billing
• Understanding of revenue cycle functions within a pharmacy practice or equivalent setting
• Desired certification as a Pharmacy Technician
• Proficiency in MS Office Products and familiarity with AS400, Frameworks, or QS1 systems
