Job Summary
As a remote full-time Claims Specialist Team Lead, the successful candidate will manage training and mentoring for Claims Specialists, ensure compliance with billing procedures, and support staff performance while acting as a subject matter expert on denial research methods and billing requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Trains new employees and provides ongoing support and mentorship to promote a positive work environment
- Reviews and approves variances and write-offs submitted by staff for accuracy and compliance
- Conducts monthly quality assessments and prepares reports to identify training needs and performance issues
Required qualifications
- High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experience; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of insurance billing experience with a focus on Medicare Part D, Medicaid, or Commercial billing
- Understanding of revenue cycle functions within pharmacy practice or a related setting
- Desired certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Proficient in MS Office Products (Excel, Word) and basic computer systems
