Job Summary
Providing linguistic expertise in phonetics, phonology, lexicography, dialectology, and Natural Language Processing (NLP), the full-time PhD Linguist II will design and conduct experiments, manage transcription processes, and analyze system metrics while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide linguistic expertise and collaborate with cross-functional partners to prepare audio files for evaluations
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate transcription quality and develop processes for multiple projects
- Analyze system metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders while managing transcription-related metadata
Required qualifications:
- PhD in Linguistics or a related field
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Ability to understand linguistic errors and provide insights
