Phone Canvasser - Ohio

Job Summary

To support grassroots mobilization efforts, the part-time Phone Canvasser - Ohio will engage with OCA members and the public by phone to discuss campaigns and encourage participation in advocacy efforts, while working remotely and committing to a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively by phone with OCA members and the public about campaigns and opportunities for change
• Meet campaign-specific performance standards regarding outreach, conversations, contributions, and political actions
• Attend virtual meetings, submit reports, and participate in training and organizational events

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in phone-banking or political organizing preferred
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Spitfire, VAN, Google Workspace, or Basecamp is a plus
• Interest in environmental issues, politics, or non-profit work
• Ability to pass an ISP test for WebRTC protocol compatibility
