Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Photo Editor, the hybrid role will manage photo coverage for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, source compelling photography under tight deadlines, and collaborate with newsroom colleagues to enhance visual storytelling for CNN Digital.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate photo coverage and collaborate with the CNN Digital International team in London
- Select and produce impactful images for breaking news and feature stories, including photo essays and galleries
- Ensure quality control on images and conduct thorough vetting of third-party content for licensing compliance
Required qualifications
- Demonstrable photo editing experience in a newsroom setting
- Strong understanding of various news topics, including politics, business, and international news
- Experience with content management systems and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and PhotoMechanic
- Knowledge of AP style and trends in the photojournalism industry
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, SEO, and web analytics is advantageous
