Photonics Business Strategist
Job Summary
Bringing an external perspective to strategic decision-making, the full-time Principal Strategist for the Photonics Business Unit will develop strategic hypotheses, shape leadership decisions, and synthesize market insights to guide the PSBU's long-term direction, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and articulate clear strategic hypotheses across markets, buyers, technologies, and business models
- Frame strategic options and tradeoffs to enable informed leadership decision-making
- Maintain an external view of buyer behavior and competitive dynamics to inform PSBU's strategy
Required qualifications
- Experience shaping strategic direction within a complex technology business
- Industry experience in optical networking and photonics systems
- Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and guide decisions effectively
- Strong skills in translating complex information into clear strategic options for senior leadership
- Experience with market and customer discovery, including synthesizing diverse inputs
