Job Summary
A company is looking for a Physical Design Engineer: Die-to-Die Interface (RTL to GDSII).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Die-to-Die (D2D) physical implementation and closure from netlist to tapeout
- Own the full physical design flow (RTL-to-GDSII), including synthesis, floorplanning, place-and-route, and sign-off
- Drive timing and verification, ensuring sign-off quality for complex high-speed designs
Required Qualifications
- B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in ASIC physical design at advanced nodes (7nm or below)
- Proficiency in full-chip implementation and high-speed interfaces (D2D, PCIe, HBM, SerDes)
- Experience with EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor for implementation and verification
- Familiarity with automation scripts (Tcl, Python) for physical design methodologies
