Physician Clinical Informatics Specialist

Job Summary

Advising on healthcare best practices and clinical operations, the full-time Physician Clinical Informatics Specialist will support VA health informatics and modernization teams by providing expertise in clinical quality, care delivery standardization, and EHR implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on healthcare best practices, clinical policy issues, and care delivery improvement
• Provide clinical SME input for health informatics projects and EHR modernization activities
• Engage with senior clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to align recommendations and standardize care delivery

Required qualifications

• MD, DO, PhD, or other advanced clinical/healthcare degree; physician background preferred
• 8+ years of experience in healthcare best practices, clinical policy, or health systems transformation
• Experience with healthcare modernization and EHR implementation initiatives
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior healthcare leaders and multidisciplinary teams
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to obtain a public trust clearance
