Piping Designer - Kansas Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing industrial engineering team, the full-time Piping Designer - Kansas Licensed will utilize SmartPlant3D to create 3D equipment models and piping isometrics for various projects, collaborating with subject matter experts across North America.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize SmartPlant 3D to create 3D equipment models and generate isometric drawings for mechanical systems and piping
• Design material handling systems and develop early project design work related to facility layout and equipment arrangement
• Coordinate with design partners and support the construction team by answering RFIs and providing design solutions

Required qualifications

• Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technology or related field preferred, with 4 years of piping design experience
• Experience with 3D design software such as SmartPlant3D is required
• Knowledge of piping support design, pipe stress analysis, and installation of systems is essential
• Experience drafting P&IDs, schematics, and 3D routing of piping systems is required
• Proficiency in basic computing programs, including the Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam
