PKI Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time, project-based PKI Architect, the candidate will focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive PKI strategy, managing certificate lifecycles, and collaborating with security teams to enhance digital security in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a holistic PKI strategy aligned with organizational security objectives
• Manage certificate authorities and oversee the issuance, renewal, and revocation of certificates
• Conduct security assessments and maintain documentation for PKI configurations and policies

Required qualifications

• Demonstrable expertise in cryptography, certificate management, and networking protocols
• Hands-on experience with PKI technologies and standards such as X.509 and OCSP
• Strong scripting skills, preferably in Python or Shell, for automation
• Knowledge of IT and Cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST and ISO 27001/2
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus
