Job Summary
To support compliance and documentation efforts, the full-time remote Plan Document Analyst Associate will draft, revise, and maintain ERISA-compliant Plan Documents and amendments, ensuring adherence to federal regulations while collaborating with internal teams and the Legal department.
Key responsibilities
- Develops and manages health plan documents, including Plan Documents and Summary Plan Descriptions, while coordinating approvals and secure storage
- Analyzes and resolves issues reported by users and collaborates with the Legal department on compliance matters
- Facilitates new group implementation meetings to gather detailed benefit information and ensures system configuration aligns with plan administration requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field, or five years of relevant experience in healthcare or insurance
- Preferred experience in writing documentation or instructional materials
- Knowledge of managed care, health insurance, or third-party administrative services
- Understanding of federal and state laws impacting self-funded clients
- Project management experience is preferred
