Job Summary
To ensure compliance and accuracy in legal retirement plan documents, the full-time remote Plan Document Specialist will manage the onboarding of new plans, oversee document service workflows, and serve as a liaison for internal and external clients.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and amend plan documents for various qualified retirement plans, ensuring compliance with IRS, ERISA, and DOL regulations
- Oversee plan installations and conversions, including data validation and document preparation
- Collaborate with internal teams to support client onboarding and address inquiries, ensuring high-quality service delivery
Required qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations applicable to retirement plans
- Experience drafting pre-approved and custom plan documents using web-based vendor platforms
- Familiarity with legislative restatements and document updates under IRS deadlines
- Experience with Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal systems such as PensionPro and FT Williams
