Job Summary
Supporting the Document Team in a remote capacity, the Plan Document Specialist will manage the creation, maintenance, and revision of plan documentation, including Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC) and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD), ensuring compliance and accuracy for both new and renewing business.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and update medical benefit plan documents, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
- Track document inventory and status, monitoring timelines from intake through delivery
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to verify document details and maintain data integrity across platforms
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a healthcare or benefits TPA setting
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare, insurance, or plan document role
- Strong familiarity with medical and employee benefit terminology and various plan documents
- Solid working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with SharePoint
- Willingness to work outside of regular business hours during peak periods
