Plan Termination Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Plan Termination Specialist responsible for managing the termination of employer-sponsored retirement plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of plan termination, including planning, communication, and execution of required actions
• Ensure compliance with IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations, including filing required forms
• Coordinate and manage the distribution of plan assets to participants and beneficiaries

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations related to retirement plans
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, communications, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retirement plan administration, particularly in 401(k) terminations
• Experience with FTW and Pension Pro preferred
• Professional certifications such as QKA or APA are a plus
