Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain their platform while addressing insider risk challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize microservices for performance and scalability, focusing on data pipelines
• Implement and manage containerization technologies like Podman and Kubernetes for platform deployment
• Write high-quality Python code and design efficient data storage and retrieval strategies

Qualifications/Attributes:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of software development experience
• In-depth experience with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch
• Proficiency in Python or another functional/OO language with a track record of impactful software delivery
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or GCP) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficiency in designing and scaling production-level APIs and familiarity with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
