Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the development of a product-like platform, the full-time Platform Engineer will lead the build process using Jenkins, incorporating security best practices and reusable components, while working primarily in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of a DevOps-based pipeline with minimal guidance
• Implement automation solutions and ensure best practices in Agile and DevOps processes
• Take ownership of the build effort from day one, working with various teams to optimize the process

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
• At least six years of related experience, or four years with a Master's Degree
• Strong scripting skills in Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Unix shell scripting
• Extensive experience with AWS architecture and services, including EC2, S3, and IAM
• Proficiency in build and deployment automation using platforms like Jenkins or Bamboo
