Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Platform Engineer specializing in Imaging & Provisioning, the ideal candidate will design and maintain OS images, automate installation processes, and manage marketplace applications to enhance the cloud platform's infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain OS images for various platforms, including Windows and Linux distributions
• Convert legacy boot-up configuration scripts to cloud-init for consistent OS provisioning
• Manage the full lifecycle of marketplace applications, from onboarding to maintenance

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps focused on OS imaging and automation
• Deep familiarity with Linux distribution internals and automated installation processes
• Hands-on experience with cloud-init and scripting languages such as BASH and Python 3
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing Ansible playbooks for image automation
• Understanding of virtualization technologies and bare metal provisioning methods
