Platform Engineer - Security

Job Summary

Seeking a senior-level Platform Engineer - Security in a full-time remote position, the role focuses on maintaining and optimizing Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments while also engaging in security operations such as incident response and threat analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for complex infrastructure and application issues across multi-tenant environments
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments, managing identity lifecycle and email authentication protocols
• Triage and investigate phishing emails and user-reported threats, coordinating with MDR/SOC providers to respond to alerts and incidents

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment in a senior or Level 3 role
• Hands-on production experience with M365 administration, Entra, Intune, Conditional Access, and Azure
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, including Group Policy and Hyper-V
• Proficiency in Active Directory and Entra ID identity management
• Experience with email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and firewall/VPN administration (FortiGate preferred)
