Platform Engineering Consultant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Platform Engineering Consultant to build and operate infrastructure for open source software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain production infrastructure for client workloads, focusing on Kubernetes and broader platform stack
• Own the operational health of client platforms, including incident response and system reliability
• Translate client operational needs into technical solutions while balancing technical excellence with real-world constraints

Required Qualifications

• Solid experience with Kubernetes, including operating clusters and troubleshooting failures
• Competence across the broader infrastructure stack, including networking, storage, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, utilizing tools like Ansible or Terraform
• Background in SRE or customer-facing support, comfortable with diagnosing client-reported issues
• Consultancy or client-facing technical experience, managing expectations and advocating for solutions
